How do I join the PTA?Membership is optional. Every April, we distribute the "Membership/Non-Membership Form" by email and letter. Please be sure to fill it out regardless of whether you join or not. If you have any questions or requests for improvement, please feel free to contact us at any time via our website.
-
What happens if I don't join? The PTA works to enrich the school life of children, so children from non-member families will not suffer any disadvantages. Furthermore, no one will be asked why they are not a member, and no one will be forced to join. However, if the number of non-member families increases, budgets and manpower will decrease, and it may become difficult to provide various types of support to schools.
-
Once I join, how long will I be a member?Membership is valid for one year. We ask each year whether you would like to join or not. Families who choose not to join can also view PTA activities for one year and then join the following year.
-
If I join, do I have to participate in volunteer activities? No, only those who wish to participate can participate. Our PTA recruits volunteers for activities several times a year. These include tallying up bell marks, inspecting lab coats, cleaning the pool, and running the festival. We will send you details by email two weeks before the activity, so please answer the questionnaire and come to the school on the day. Even if you suddenly can't participate, there is no need to contact us. Please feel free to join us!
-
If I join, do I have to become an officer? No, only those who wish to become teachers will be appointed. There is no so-called "point system" that requires you to become a teacher once during your time at school. We will send you a questionnaire by email at the end of the school year, so please answer it. There are many fun things to do, such as seeing how your child is doing, helping the school, and interacting with the local community and parents. Please lend us your support to help your child have a rich school life.
-
I'm interested, but isn't it difficult to be an executive? You can support our children for 300 yen per month, per family, so it doesn't matter how many children you have. Please see the general meeting materials or our blog for details on how the membership fee is used. We welcome your comments and suggestions.
